I'm having trouble deciding what cc's to get. I've been to a couple consults &decided that my cc range is 375-415. I want it to look somewhat proportionate to my petite frame and I don't want to look top heavy. I'm aiming towards 400-415cc. I know for sure I want silicone round, moderate profile, under the muscle dual plane placement, and the breast crease incision. What do you guy think? Anyone with similar stats that can give me some insight please?
Answer: Choosing implant volume Good morning and thank you for your question. It sounds like you have been careful in your preoperative considerations and have narrowed your implant choices down well. Provided your plastic surgeon has guided you to choose implants with appropriate dimensions for your measurements and soft tissue envelope, the difference between a 375 and 415 should not be dramatic. I'm sure you are going to be very happy with either. Best of luck!

CONTACT NOW Answer: Size Trust in your surgeon. The implant selection should be based on a combination of your desired size, soft tissue dynamics, breast base diameter and skin elasticity. I recommend an in-office examination as well as a detailed discussion with a surgeon who you are comfortable with. Finally, make sure your surgeon is a Double-Board Certified Plastic Surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS) and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS).Best,Dr. DesaiBeverly Hills Institute for Aesthetic Plastic SurgeryHarvard Educated, Beverly Hills & Miami Beach Trained, Double-Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Undecided. Breast augmentation implant size The best cosmetic result in any particular breast augmentation patient depends on a variety of factors, including: Your individual anatomy, realistic expectations, a thorough discussion with the plastic surgeon about the options, and an understanding of the pros and cons of any particular implant choice. Proper sizing is not just about the number of cc’s. or the type of implant. The thickness of your tissue, breast dimensions which include the width, height, and projection, as well as chest wall width all need to be considered when choosing an implant. Trying on implant “sizers” of various shapes and volumes while wearing a tight t-shirt, bra, or bathing suit at a preoperative visit will help you and your surgeon choose the optimal implant. Keep in mind that following the advice from a surgeon on this or any other website who proposes to tell you what to do without examining you, physically feeling the tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history, and discussing the pros and cons of each operative procedure would not be in your best interest. I would suggest that your plastic surgeon be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and ideally a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) that you trust and are comfortable with. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person. Robert Singer, MD FACS La Jolla, California

Answer: Breast implant size...doesn't matter The difference between 375 and 415 cc is 40cc, less than three tablespoons, and essentially immaterial. What makes the difference in your result is dimensions of the implant more than volume. Surgical placement of the implant, whether or not it stays where it's placed, whether or not you develop contracture, rippling, animation, and/or maintain nipple sensation are much more germane to the quality of your outcome than the difference between 375 and 415cc. My recommendation: Try on sizes, choose the one you like. Nobody else can make that decision for you.
