Thank you for your question. After getting laser hair removal of the bikini area, you may experience some swelling and lingering redness due to the sensitivity of this region. If you engage in sexual intimacy before waiting for the irritation to fade, you may irritate the area even more and cause swelling to increase. I recommend you wait a minimum of 24 hours or until all irritation has gone away before resuming intimacy.
Like with any laser treatment, we tell people to expect the same redness as prolonged sun exposure. Thank you for your question. The amount of laser hair removal sessions needed varies from patient to patient. Also, some patients do need sessions to maintain results. I recommend discussing your concerns with your treating physician. Best of Luck!
