Which procedure is it better to undergo first, cheek implants or rhinoplasty?

HelloYou can have either procedure performed first. however, the best option for you if you are going to do both, is to have them performed at the same time. This will reduce your recovery time to one period vs. two. It would also help you understand the impact of both on your final result. Since your preference is to have cheek implants and rhinoplasty at different times, there is no advantage to having one done before the other.  They really could be done in any order you like.  Having the cheek implants first would not increase the risks of rhinoplasty.  

There is no surgical indications to separate these two procedures. However, you may have these two procedures done separately in any order you and your surgeon would decide. Good luck.

Anything CAN happen but assuming the same surgeon is performing your procedures, due diligence to produce your desired appearance and to avoid complications you fear will succeed.  Nasal osteotomies rarely interfere with suborbital implants, and, even when inserted intra-orally rarely become infected.  Still, this is a decision to be discussed with your surgeon.  My preference is for patients to have both of these procedures simultaneously because they're in the same area, only one recovery instead of two, and cost savings, only one anesthetic.

Hello! I think it would be safe to undergo either procedure first, and they can even be done concurrently - at the same time. I do not think nasal surgery would have a risk of infection or disrupt the implant, but discuss this carefully with your surgeon preoperatively. Good luck!

  It does not matter which procedure comes first.  Both procedures can be done simultaneously under one anesthetic with one postoperative recovery.  Visible bruising and swelling  will be present for both procedures for approximately 2 weeks.  There is no reason to separate them  into two completely separate procedures with 2 separate anesthetics  with 2 different postoperative recovery periods. Rhinoplasty is quite a difficult endeavor,  so choose your Surgeon based on extensive experience  producing natural results

 Hi, I have performed many Rhinoplasty Surgeries as well as facial shaping procedures using dermal fillers, facial implants (cheek, chin), liposuction and/or facelifts for over 30 years.  Following my beauty principles, women look the most feminine, youthful and attractive with heart shaped faces.  Heart shaped faces have cheeks that are full and round in the front.  Cheek augmentation using cheek implants for a permanent enhancement will create full, round cheeks that will feminize the entire face.  Since creating a heart shaped face with proper cheek shaping offers the greatest aesthetic impact, in my humble opinion, that should be considered first.  Having a Rhinoplasty to refine the nose at a later date should have no impact on the previously placed silastic cheek implants. Hope this helps.

Dear Caterpillar.Butterfly, There is no reason to separate the procedures unless this is just a choice you have decided upon. It is better to balance the facial aesthetics when these procedures are performed together. This will also allow one anesthesia, one recovery and a savings in expense. If separated most patients would have the rhinoplasty performed first.
