Not all the rhinoplasties are to remove or downsize, some noses have addition requirements, like yours:-short septum and high nasolabial angle-small tip, pinched nose, over rotated tip-supratip depressionYou need a septal lengthening, tip strut and tip grafting, eventually lower lateral cruras grafting.
Hello naty2920,Thanks for your question. It is possible to increase the size of your nose with rhinoplasty surgery. In some cases, it is possible to enlarge your nose non-surgically using injectable filler. I would recommend that you consult with a rhinoplasty specialist in your area for a full nasal exam, photographs, and rhinoplasty simulations. With this information the rhinoplasty specialist can determine what course of action has the best chance of delivering the results you seek.Good luck,Dr. Shah
More views of your full face are necessary to make an evaluation of your case. It will be important to discuss with you what type of nose you would like to have. If you mean that the nose is small because the tip of the nose is underprojected, then a rhinoplasty can fix that. Also you have a small hump on the nasal dorsum that can be removed just to make the dorsum straight and keep the height of that area. I will recommend you to have an in person consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon or Facial Plastic Surgeon, for a full evalauation of your case, discuss your goal with the surgeon and some digital imaging of your photos can help you understanding better what can be achieved with the surgery.
The nose is a three-dimensional structure, so it very difficult to give an opinion based on one photograph. Within some limits, the nose can be made bigger with cartilage grafting techniques. Computer imaging performed in the office setting would also be helpful to understand what can be accomplished with the procedure. Dear naty2920, Rhinoplasty surgery can help change the proportions of your nose so that it balances nicely with your other facial features. Most patients who make their nose bigger are of certain ethnicities where they require cartilage grafting or nasal implants and you do not fit in that category. A consultation aided with digital imaging would be very helpful for you to see the changes that rhinoplasty could provide. I have included a link below of my rhinoplasty gallery and a video above of a patient with a similar looking nose. Best regards, Michael V. Elam, M.D.
A rhinoplasty can be done to make the nose bigger but I don't if this would be appropriate for you. Increasing the size of the nose is common after trauma and in some ethnic patients who want to increase projection and nasal definition.
Judging from your photos, I highly recommend you make an appointment with your surgeon so he or she can examine you. I wish you a speedy recovery.
Noses are frequently the recipient of trauma, and injury. Sometimes a blow to the nose is strong enough to fracture the bones and displace the septum. When this happens the nose may look ‘crooked’ and the airway may worsen. An evaluation with an experienced physician/surgeon can help dete...
As we age, the nose, like a lot of other things, tends to drop, so you may see that it appears elongated. Also, the chin may appear less prominent as our cheeks drop "around" it. These changes occur over years not over one year and the deviated septum shouldn't have anything to do with the droop...
