What is the difference between subdermal J Plasma and Smart Lipo "liposculpting"?

Don't get caught up in all the devices or language. It really comes down to the skill level of the Plastic Surgeon and then nice Sculpting equipment. The contraction of the skin and soft tissue is mainly dependent on genetics as well as significant time spent carefully Sculpting layer by layer with tiny cannulas connected to a powered device.

J Plasma is a skin tightening device, while Smart Lipo is a laser device used to target and melt stubborn areas of fat, but lacks skin tightening. Keep in mind, a combination approach is needed. With non-surgical treatments, skin tightening can be done with a combination of vanquish, venus legacy, exilis, celllutone/Zwave.  For best results for skin tightening and fat removal, I recommend a hi definition procedure like a VASER liposuction, which can be performed at the same time as a tummy tuck and/or skin removal, if you're a candidate. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermRF and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. Greetings San Diego !Great question and I often get asked this at my office.  J plasma is a skin tighten device that utilizes helium technology to cause skin contraction.  It has been around for many years now but has recently been used as a way to tighten the skin with great results.  Smart Lipo utilizes laser technology which will melt fat and secondarily cause tightening of the skin due to the heat energy generated by the laser.  At this point I have noticed a great deal of skin tightening with both the J plasma and Smart Lipo.  It will depend on your skin caliber and degree of tightening that you will need.   Hope this helps!

Smart lipo uses laser heat to shrink the skin from its deep surface; this requires melting/injuring the fine cobblestone fat on the back of the skin that keeps skin smooth and youthful.J Plasma/Renuvion uses cold helium Plasma to rejuvenate and repair the support system of the skin.There is a big difference in effectiveness as well as complications.
