Hello,If you are looking for improved contours/shape, and targeted fat reduction, there is nothing better than liposuction performed by an appropriately trained, skilled, and highly experienced ABPS certified/ASAPS member surgeon. If you are in need of skin tightening, the holy grail of for non-surgical modalities, there is nothing that will work with any clinical significance. Don't fall for the multi-million dollar marketing campaigns of this or any other high tech device out there. Standard liposuction by an expert is the benchmark. Best of luck!
J plasma for mild to moderate laxity of abdomen or other areas is a relatively new use for this technology, but can be performed safely. Keep in mind, if you have skin laxity, you may not be a candidate for liposuction alone. For best results, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction, which can be performed at the same time as a tummy tuck, depending on skin laxity. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermRF and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. This combination will give you the most toned result. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a hi definition physique expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you for your question. In the absence of liposuction, it is unlikely you would develop lumps from J-Plasma. J-Plasma will give very significant tightening of both the skin and the fibrous septae beneath the skin. The end result is a tighter, firmer tissue. The J-Plasma does use a cannula...
Thank you for your question. I have both ThermiTight, J-Plasma and BodyTite. All are excellent devices. If your primary goal is skin tightening it has been my experience that J-Plasma will result in more tightening with a higher safety profile - no risk of skin burn. It is important to have an...
Thanks for your question! ANY type of liposuction (Vaser, laser, SmartLipo, CoolLipo, RF Lipo, water-jet lipo, "Tickle" Lipo, etc.) can result in sagging skin, if the person being treated has loose skin - period. Some things have been shown to result in greater skin tightening than l...
Thank you for your question. As we age, our body's production of collagen does diminish year by year resulting in greater skin laxity. That being said, I have seen J-Plasma performed on fairly lax skin in a 62 year old woman that achieved dramatic skin tightening. Certainly as she ages over the...
Great question and I want to commend you for doing all the research. We don't have much experience with plexr here (for lifting, lasers usually don't target tissue that deep) and plasma is also relatively new. We do know that there is significant difference in the down time between plasma...
Mild abdominal laxity can be treated in a number of ways. Do you require muscle tightening? The clinical options will depend on your physical examination and medical history, including weight gain and loss, pregnancy, smoking and hormonal status to name a few factors. Options include: Ulthe...
