Even with J Plasma tightening doesn't Liposuction leave you with loose skin later?
Answer: Liposuction Dear muoldbidy, liposuction will remove the excess fat and nothing else. Your skin should tighten after liposuction but that process depends on a lot of factors (age, skin quality, hydration, etc.). I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. You will get the best recommendations after a thorough examination.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery

Answer: Best Assessed It depends. Skin laxity should be assessed prior to liposuction and your provider should discuss anticipated results. If you have significant laxity prior to liposuction then you will definitely have laxity after volume removal with liposuction. Jplasma has been used for skin tightening with some success. However, depending on the amount of laxity, skin removal such as a tummy may be a better option.

Answer: Aging Skin following liposuction Thank you for your question. As we age, our body's production of collagen does diminish year by year resulting in greater skin laxity. That being said, I have seen J-Plasma performed on fairly lax skin in a 62 year old woman that achieved dramatic skin tightening. Certainly as she ages over the coming years, her skin will become more lax as a result of the aging process but she has gained years of benefit from the J-Plasma procedure. The skin tightening from J-Plasma occurs from two components. First, the supporting connective tissue that resides within the subcutaneous fat shrinks down, thus pulling the skin tighter. Second, the J-Plasma also stimulates collagen production from its effects on the sub-dermal tissue.I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.
