Does J Plasma prevent the sagging skin lipo creates?
Answer: J plasma vs others Hi there,The question you pose is not one where there is a yes or no answer. In reality, if someone already has laxity to the skin the likelihood that they will have some sort of looseness to the skin after the procedure regardless of J plasma, Vaser etc is high. If the skin quality prior to the procedure is good then the possibility of loose skin after is low. Nothing will "prevent" sagging skin but vaser/j plasma can help tighten skin. Both modalities can aid in shrinkage of the skin but can only do so much. I have tried both J plasma and Vaser and will use each one depending on skin quality and what the end result both the patient and I are trying to achieve.Hope this helps!

Answer: Sagging skin after vaser liposuction For your guidance, obesity, cellulite, a history of “yo-yo” weight gain/loss, or loose, sagging, inelastic skin are problems which would tend toward poor results in liposuction. In fact, these problems may be worsened and may be best addressed by other procedures such as a leg or body lift (e.g. tummy tuck) to improve the patient’s appearance. Sagging skin after vaser liposuction will depend on patient's weight prior to surgery, age, and elasticity of skin.Excess skin would usually shrink back over the area of the body, but please take note that liposuction is used to reduce volume not tighten skin. We now have a number of non surgical devices such as ThermiSmooth radiofrequency and VelaShape3 to help tighten skin after liposuction for patients who will benefit from this additional care. Please do remember that liposuction #results are generally permanent. If the patient gains a large amount of weight in the future, the area of liposuction will also gain fat but to a lesser degree. With massive weight gain, rippling of the skin may occur. I hope your concern was addressed. #RealSelf100

Answer: Sagging Skin after Liposuction Thanks for your question! ANY type of liposuction (Vaser, laser, SmartLipo, CoolLipo, RF Lipo, water-jet lipo, "Tickle" Lipo, etc.) can result in sagging skin, if the person being treated has loose skin - period. Some things have been shown to result in greater skin tightening than liposuction alone. These include all modalities that generate heat; specifically RF, laser, and Vaser. In my experience, the best results for skin tightening come from ThermiTight, which is a minimally-invasive stand-alone procedure. Occasionally, this can be done at the time of liposuction. The J-plasma device also uses heat and will result in skin tightening, but I do not have experience with this particular device to make a comment as to how it would stack up against ThermiTight or Vaser, nor as to whether or not one could have this treatment at the same time as liposuction. The only sure-fire treatment against saggy skin is excision; in other words, tummy tuck, arm lift, etc.

Answer: Sagging skin The most important considerations are the areas that were treated with lipo, the age/skin elasticity of the patient and many more. We have found that the type of lipo is less important than the above concerns. Ultimately, if loose skin is a consideration, a tummy tuck or other treatments may be more appropriate. For patients who only have a mild degree of loose skin, post-lipo treatments such as Velashape, Thermage, RF-microneedling etc. can help with tightness and also with stretch marks.
