Why are my butt and thighs so big after flank and belly lipo?

I had vaser lipo 3 months ago. The doctor took 5 liters out of my flanks and braline and stomach. I wasn't overweight but I am 5'10". Doctor was shocked at lack of bruising. But I swelled everywhere- my question is why do I feel and look so big? My legs are swollen, my butt is larger and numb (they didn't touch legs or butt). Shoulders and arms. Hands feet and face. I look puffy.... is this dependent swelling? Slow lymph? Normal edema? How long can I expect to be swollen?

Swelling can move towards gravity and it can be typical to have swelling 3-6 months after your procedure. I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. hello DS888  Many studies indicate that there is also less injury than the traditional liposuction method resulting in less pain, swelling and bruising.  Final results can be seen 2-4 months later as the swelling continues to diminish and contours become more defined. These contours can even improve throughout the year after surgery. Hi DS,
The normal recuperation from Vaser is 6-9 months.  People often have a degree of swelling after the procedure and you are well within the normal range.  Patients often get swelling in their legs or extremities due to gravity.  You can get lymphatic massages to help with the drainage.

I have received this question quite a bit.  
There are some methods that are more aggressive than others, and based on how much was removed, it looks like your doctor's approach was also pretty aggressive.  This is one reason why we tend to prefer doing one or two areas at a time, for faster recovery.
A lymphatic massage may help.  However, without photos it's tough to say for sure.  I would also make sure that your doctor is kept in the loop and is following you closely to make sure there isn't any other factor involved.
