I have a significant indentation on my stomach two weeks after having Vaser liposuction. The area above and below the deep indent and it's very very hard I'm worried that it is fibrosis. At my follow up appointment the nurse at the doctors office said that all of this is completely normal and it will all flattenen out.I noticed the indentation right after the operation. Will this resolve on its own? Or will I need a revision? Does it look like he removed too fat?
Answer: Healing After Vaser Your results look to be within the realm of "normal." Post-operative swelling tends to worsen for the first 1-2 weeks after Vaser (or any other) liposuction. The areas where more fat was removed will have a little more swelling than other areas and often the inflammation that goes along with the swelling will make the area feel "hard." All of this should slowly resolve after it hits its peak and skin-tightening is usually the last change one sees, often taking up to 6 months or more for full effect. Self-massage of the area can assist with resolving the swelling, but it will still take time to go down. Arnica tablets and cream can also be of benefit. Be patient and reserve judgment on results until you are at least 2-4 months post-op.

Answer: Vaser liposuction: indents or possible scars post op. hello alyssar510 Many studies indicate that there is also less injury than the traditional liposuction method resulting in less pain, swelling and bruising. You should contact or visit your PS about this concern. Final results can be seen 2-4 months later as the swelling continues to diminish and contours become more defined. #scar #post-op

Answer: Irregularities after Vaser lipo It is normal to have irregular swelling after lipo. I would advise to use a special foam padding between your skin and your garment so that the skin indentations from the garment are less pronounced. Even without this the results will not be evident until swelling and scar formation resolve, at least 3 months. Best luck

Answer: Normal hi Alyssa, Regardless of the liposuction technique that your practioner utilizes, it is much too early to determine your results. I often have the same questions from patients post op and majority of the "dents" and irregularities are a combination of swelling and how the garment is fitting on the body can lead to what appears to be some indentations. You will have to give it some time before the final results can be analyzed! Hope this helps!

Answer: VASER hi def liposuction scar tissue liposuction revision Thank you for your question regarding healing after abdominal VASER liposuction. Two weeks after VASER liposuction is too early to determine anything. At two weeks, your body is still healing from VASER liposuction. Nothing you see at this stage is permanent. It is very important you check with your plastic surgeon. Most plastic surgeon's have strict post-operative rules to follow. At this stage, you may want to consider lymphatic massage two to three a week. Please seek a certified lymphatic massage therapist. Also, please examine your garment. Could these dents be from folds in the garment, especially while you are siting? If so, please discuss this with your plastic surgeon. Options may be to change the garment or stop wearing the garment altogether. I hope I have answered your questions regarding healing after VASER liposuction. If you have any other questions about healing after VASER liposuction, please contact my office. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen.
