I am interested in getting a breast augmentation but really wanted some input from those who assist athletes regularly with breast augmentation. Some background about myself: 5'1", 112 lbs, am a badminton coach. Badminton requires a lot of bouncing, using arm strokes to hit shots, and is a strenuous activity. I play/coach badminton 3-6 days a week, and I am active in weight lifting as well. In addition, to badminton, I do a lot of overhead strokes and keep my arms lifted.

Answer: Breast Augmentation You should still be able to play racket sports after a breast augmentation. If you're very active, you may want to go with a more conservative size. Most of my athletic patients are able to start exercising 1 month after surgery however it may take up to 3 months before you can play racket sports at a high level.

Answer: Activities after surgery Dear cantthinkofansn, your activities should be no problem and you should be able to play badminton and lift weights after the surgery. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
