Why do I still have this red bruise at 3 weeks post op? (Photo)

Hello and Great Question.  I appreciate the time you are spending researching this procedure.  My name is Dr. Matthew J. Nykiel.  I am a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, a Fellowship Trained Cosmetic Surgeon, and a Cosmetic Breast Augmentation Specialist.
It is difficult to say exactly without proper examination but it certainly looks like a bruise.  You ares till very early on in your healing processes so bruising can be and is very normal. I would recommend following your surgeons recommendations and following up with them. I hope that helps!  Best of Luck!

Thank you for your question.  It looks to be a bruise under the breast but without an in person evaluation difficult to say for sure.  Bruises can sometimes take a few weeks to completely go away.  I would recommend following your surgeons recommendations and following up with them.  Best of luck to you.

It is difficult to say exactly but it certainly looks like a bruise, specially if that is what your surgeon says after examining you.All bruises will go away in time and it is not uncommon to have a small area like you have 3 weeks out.Be patient and continue with your surgeons follow up and recommendations.Hope that helps.

its going to get better... stretch marks usually occur over the top of the mound and never on a scar at the fold.  You cannot speed up healing... so be patient, give it time, protect from the sun, and watch it lighten with time.
