I want to know what are the least invasive ways to fix this problem. First picture shows my stomach relaxed vs hunched over. Dimples are visible even when relaxed and standing up straight in certain lighting. What can I do? Diet/exercise, massage/creams, cool sculpt? I would prefer not to undergo surgery after this experience.
Answer: Lumps after liposuction Dear txlr83,I would have to examine you but it appears that this is a contour irregularity after liposuction. This happens often when areas the undergo liposuction are not feathered appropriately. While there is always a chance for contour irregularities with liposuction, someone who takes their time and uses the appropriate sized cannulas should give you a superb result. I have all my patients wear compression garments and I use multiple sized cannulas to feather out the result. You will most likely need a revision so it would be the best to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Answer: Liposuction Irregularities--Vanquish, Cellutone, Zwave, Exilis, Venus Legacy, VASER HI DEF 4D Liposculpture Revision I recommend Vanquish to all my post-liposuction patients, which you can have now. After liposuction, I also recommend exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. We start treatments 3-4 weeks after liposuction. However, a VASER revision may be needed to get the smoothest result. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Correcting undesirable results after liposuction Poorly done liposuction it's difficult to correct possible. This is especially true when people have been over treated. People who have mild to moderate the skin laxity before liposuction will often have some skin confirmation from the procedure. For example women who pregnancies with some skin laxity will often see some skin changes from the procedure. It does not appear that you were over treated. If there still a sufficient amount of fat left then revision liposuction May help. Fat transfer is also an option. Neither one of these will be particularly useful in patients who have loose skin. A third option is to have an abdominoplasty plasty which will tighten the skin and often give a smoother appearance. Best, Mats Hagstrom M.D.
