I was asked to pose nude, no paper bikini bottoms, for pre-op pictures. Caught me off guard and was curious if this is a common practice.
Answer: Photos The most important part of medical photography is consistency. Your plastic surgeon is probably wanting to make sure the entire abdomen is visible, and not manipulated because of a tight waistband. We usually provide disposable shorts or underwear for our patients to help them feel more comfortable. Your photos are part of your medical record and are protected. Nonetheless, ask for disposable undergarments next time if you feel more comfortable. Best of luck.

Answer: Is it typical practice to require a male patient pose completely nude for photos before an abdomen and flanks liposuction? Photography is essential to documenting results in all cosmetic plastic surgery. Protocols vary by PS, but consent should be obtained from the patient before any photographs are taken. Answer: Nude in Photos Pre Surgery Every practice has their own protocol that they follow and this is not necessarily uncommon, however if a patient is uncomfortable, we do what we can to help make the patient feel at ease. I would discuss this with your PS so they can accommodate you.
