Is it normal for red dot from under eye filler to still be there? (Photo)

In October 2021 I got under eye filler (Restylane) for the first time. I feel like it dissolved very quickly, (maybe due to my fast metabolism?) and was wanting to get some more soon but I've noticed ever since I had it done I have a red dot under my left eye from when it was injected. I read that it's normal for the first couple days but is it normal for it to still be there? Should I not get anymore filler?

The red dot you are noticing under your eye is likely unrelated to the filler injection.  You should still be able to have future filler treatments.  The longevity of the filler will vary depending on the patient, selected filler, and amount of correction.  Be sure to see an expert injector near you.

Hello, it is likely that there may have been an unrelated small lentigo (pigmented area) that preexisted the injection and since has gotten bigger. If you have pre injection photos, you can compare this area. You may want to have an oculoplastic surgeon see you to examine this spot. So far as filler under the eye, it should ideally last around 9-10 months on average but each person's metabolism is different (as you stated) and placement of filler and product choice also dictate the longevity. For best results around your eyes, please see an experienced oculoplastic surgeon.
