Thank you for your question. Voluma is a very good filler for your cheeks and midface. It is a bit of a larger molecule, so it is usually placed deeper in the skin, (subdermal). The sales people will tell you it lasts about 2 years. In our experience it last about a year and a half. As far as Juvederm Ultra Plus, (which we like for the nasolabial folds), and Juvederm Ultra, (which we like for the lips), the sales people will tell you it lasts about a year, in reality about 9 months. Every person is different so it can last a longer or shorter time period, depending on the patient. It has been our experience that some folks that are hypermetabolic, (in the gym twice a day, etc.), tend to break down Botox and Fillers faster. Our very expressive patients also tend to break down the products faster. Each individual is different. Please see a well trained, experienced injector. Discuss your goals, and you should be able to come up with a plan. Jeffrey J. Roth, M.D., F.A.C.S.Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLas Vegas Plastic Surgery
Thanks for your query. Voluma is thicker and has high density but is designed for certain areas like cheek augmentation or chin augmentation or jaw defining , Juvederm ultra plus is a little less in density than voluma and is suited for nasolabial folds, marionette lines , temporal hollowing and the lightest of all is ultra which is suited for lips and tear troughs. So the type of filler used highly various with area to be filled. All the fillers last for around 8 months to 1 year and volume can last for around 2 years. Hope it helps. All The Best
Thank you for your question. Voluma is thicker product and will last up to 2 years, whereas juvaderm lasts about 1 year. This being said, these products are used for different areas and for different goals. You should not make a decision based on which will last longer. An experienced injector can examine you and determine what product is best for you and your desired goals. Many time a combination of a few different fillers is recommended. Good luck to you.
Voluma is a thicker product than Juvederm Ultra Plus. Voluma will technically last longer in the face due to it's formulation.
They are both made by allergan but voluma lasts up to 2 years, is thicker and needs to be injected more deeply as it has vycross technology and acts more like an implant as compared to juvederm ultra or ultra plus. Best, Dr. Emer.
Thank you for sharing your question. Voluma is a thicker gel than Juvederm Ultra Plus and will last longer in the face. Hope this helps.
Thank you for your question! Which is thicker, juvederm ultra plus or voluma? Which will last longer when used in the face? Great question. Voluma is a thicker gel than Juvederm Ultra Plus and is intended for use in the cheeks. Best of luck!
Thank you for your question. Voluma is a longer-lasting and thicker filler due to the way it is cross-linked, making it a better choice for volumizing the face than Juvederm. Juvederm Ultra Plus tends to be a better choice for filling lines and the lips. I hope this answer is helpful! Best of luck.
Thank you for your question. Both Voluma and Juvederm Ultra Plus are made by Allergan and are 2 of my favorite choices for filler in the face. Voluma has a tighter matrix of molecules and has more cross-linking making it a "thicker" more substantial product that generally lasts up to 2 years depending on the individual biochemistry of the patient. Voluma is made for the mid-face area and is designed to be injected at a deep level on to the bone which, ultimately, provides lift. Juvederm Ultra Plus is great for fleshy areas of the face like the marionette lines, nasolabial folds, lips, anywhere where smoothing and softening is needed. Juvederm Ultra Plus usually lasts around 9 months to a year depending on the patient. Hope this is helpful and I am wishing you so well on your journey!
Both products consist of hyaluronic acid but are manufactured using different methods. Voluma is meant for deeper placement to give volume and lift, especially in the cheeks. Juvederm Ultra Plus can be used at a deep level as well as more superficially to fill in hollows and folds. Both are excellent products. The most important consideration is to see an expert for your injections.Regards,Dr. Ort
Thank you for your excellent question. I recommend that my patients avoid bending, heavy lifting and strenuous activities such as going to the gym for 24 hours after an injectable procedure. You should be just fine to resume your exercise routine the day after your procedure. Hope this hel...
Thank you for your question! It is difficult to tell from the photos what exactly it is. If this is filler, it can be dissolved with hyaluronidase. If it is swelling, it should subside in 2 weeks. I recommend having this evaluated by your treating physician. Best of luck!
Hi Lola, Juvederm swells more than any other filler. We get used to the swollen phase but then when it subsides, we feel like it all went away when in reality, its still there but not swollen. Your pictures show a nice result, its always easy to add more as well. But great...
