I had an explant with total capsulectomy. How long do these burning sensations last? I am on day 6, post explant. Seems like mostly when I bend over if they're not well supported, like in the shower when I bent over to turn the water off and I got a firey surge in my left breast. Why does this happen and how long will it last? Do you know of any other explant patients who have this?

Answer: Burning sensations Thank you for your question.Burning sensations are not uncommon when you have had a total capsulectomy as it is a big procedure more so than just having implants put in. Because there is more tissue trauma and disturbance to the nerves it will mean that it can take a while to settle, you may find that it takes several weeks for the sensations to settle. If you are at all worried go back and see your surgeon.Good luck
