If you take roaccutane is your saliva harmful to others if you share food?

Hello! I am a person who has just started to take roaccutane. I and my 1&1/2 year old niece sometimes share our food from the same plate & spoon and even our water mugs.so obviously there is some exchange of saliva.Is this type of contact going to be harmful for my niece? Please reply.

Your saliva, if taking isotretinoin, is not harmful to others.  Of course, you should consult with the Dr who prescribed the drug but I am sure they would agree.

It is fine to share food, kiss, and drink from the same cup if you are taking Accutane and the other person isn't. It won't affect her in any way. "This answer has been solicited without seeing this patient and cannot
