Here are my photos from before and I will update later once my treatments are over I’m on my 5th treatment, but I hear it takes awhile to see results from this. I have loose skin round my abdomen from loosing weight. And being chubby as a kid haha. I really hope I see some results from this! I was searching for a noninvasive treatment and since I am still young I was. Good candidate for Forma. It radio frequency to wake up your collagen and help regrow it once again. This was take after my first treatment and you can see a small red mark on the right side. Small burns can happen if your therapist isn’t careful. Only hurts for a second. You can also get some bruising from going over bone. Updated on 28 May 2018: Still probably won’t see results until August hopefully! Keeping my fingers crossed that I didn’t waste my money on this treatment lol. Updated on 31 Aug 2018: I’ve waited until the end of August to write this review, and my stomach has the same elasticity as it did before treatment. Oh well, I know this was a possibility, but I am still pretty bummed about this. Updated on 26 Jul 2019: I've had no change in skin tone and texture to this date. I would say this treatment was a waste of money and time. I wish there could be a refund or try a different treatment for places like this. One of the Estheticians that works there recommended this treatment to me and I trusted her opinion even when i personally didn't agree with it. 2k later here I am no change and slightly upset about it.
I would strongly encourage you to contact the injector today. They should be available to see you. This could represent a hematoma (blood from a broken blood vessel) which will subside w/time but it could be too much filler or uneven filler which can indeed be dissolved by skillfully injecting an enzyme called hyaluronidase. This works within a few minutes. In some cases people can be allergic to a component of the filler. Your pictures show both lips are quite puffy and the delayed symmetric onset suggests this might be the case. Also, some folks are allergic to topical numbing agents. The doc can sort this out and possibly prescribe medication to treat an allergic reaction. In the mean time gently ice the areas; this might reduce some swelling and inflammation.
Great question! First I'd only have a board certified Derm or Plastics doctor inject. Check the Allergan website to verify the doc is listed as one of their injectors. Finally I would ask to examine the box and look at the box as well as the syringes for the Allergan lot number.
I'd suggest consultation face to face w/whomever will be offering the procedure. Every case we treat is different. We did use Ultherapy in our practice for several years and it does work moderately well to tighten tissue in selected cases. It is indeed painful and expensive.I encourage you consider other non - invasive options, such as those using radiofrequency devices; we've switched over to Forma (InMode) as I'm impressed w/their results and the procedure is relatively painless and less expensive to the consumer.
Actually as scary as this sounds in skilled hands its a pretty gentle, simple procedure. I'd consult w/the dermatologist in your area!
Melasma will not be effected by botox or fillers. You are at no more risk than any other patient to have these treatments!
