Will Botox for TMJ cause sagging in my cheeks? (photos)

I have a very weak jawline and chubby cheeks, I am getting Botox for tmj because I wake up every morning with lock jaw and I’m a lot of pain from clenching. I’m worried that because I have a weak jawline and chubby face that the botox may cause my face to sag. The bottom of my face also looks incredibly heavy, can anyone tell me what that is from as well? Is that jowls?

Botox for TMJ should not cause loose skin.  We do recommend using medical grade skin care products like Transform MD and wearing sunscreen daily to keep skin healthy. BOTOX for TMJ issues is a perfect resolution. We treat the masseter muscle with the botulinum aka Botox. As a result the area by the jawline becomes smaller, tighter and more shapely. Typically it is a beautiful side effect.

Do not confuse treating your TMJ joint with treating masseters. Your masseters are more likely the muscles that would cause grinding and clenching of back teeth. Treating them can decrease volume near/above jawline but I have never had problem with sagging/looseness. The TMJ joint is proximal to your ear and treating that has no effect on jawline.
