Prior to injecting Sculptra, is it normal protocol to microwave a wet washcloth and wrap all Sculptra filled syringes in it?

Yes, with a strategic placement technique Sculptra can be used to enhance the chin and the side profile.   

Hi Helen.  The answer is a resounding yes.  We have found Sculptra to work well for virtually all of our patients.   With that said, more product is typically required for an older patient with more dramatic fatty tissue and collagen loss.  Best of luck.

It is possible to get temporary swelling and bruising after filler injections, such as Sculptra and Juvederm.  The amount of swelling and bruising you have 3 days after your injection does not appear unusual.  These issues should begin to improve but it may take a week or two.
