I would not say that it is normal to wrap Sculptra filled syringes in a warm washcloth prior to injection, but some physicians may do this because they believe it helps with the injection process by decreasing clogging of the needle. This warming procedure should not affect the results of the treatment.
It helps to gently warm Sculptra syringes as Sculptra can clog the needles very easily. Not all injectors use the method of warming but it can be helpful.RegardsDr. J
The hydrated Sculptra was probably stored in a refrigerator and so the warm clothes were probably being used to bring the Sculptra back to room temperature. I don't think there is any issue with this although in our clinic we prefer to use heating packs to bring the Sculptra back to room temperature.

It is possible to get temporary swelling and bruising after filler injections, such as Sculptra and Juvederm. The amount of swelling and bruising you have 3 days after your injection does not appear unusual. These issues should begin to improve but it may take a week or two.
I know this is being done but I'm concerned about this practice. I believe that you will either have no results because the particles are too big to go down into the microchannels create of that you will get nodularity from this. There are some advocating this but I don't think its a great idea....
