Question

I'm pretty sure it is not fat because it feels like fluid almost? I'm not sure if that's helpful. Anyway it protrudes and creates shadows. It is also a purplish color in most lightings.

Hello, and thank you for providing photos along with your question. Based on these images, you do appear to have hollowing and sagging under the eyes, which could make you an ideal candidate for tear trough filler. By injecting small amounts of filler into the tear trough, the skin will become plump and supple, lifting the skin and smoothing out the visible groove in the skin. However, there are other options to consider as well. Fillers, lasers, Profound RF (microneedling combined with RF energy), and other procedures that stimulate collagen production can be very effective in tightening and refreshing the skin around the eyes. To determine the best treatment for you, I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with a reputable board-certified facial plastic surgeon, particularly one with an extensive experience with injectables. Your surgeon can do a proper evaluation, customize the best treatment plan, and ensure the best possible results.

Appropriate volume in the cheeks play a central role in overall facial contour and facial aging. Sufficient volume in this critical area supports the under eye areas, and consequently when there is deficit, which seems to be the case here, the lack of volume contributes to the development of tear troughs, bags and under eye hollows. Likewise, since the cheeks provide lift to the lower portions of the face, loss of volume in the cheeks with the passage of time typically leads to the development of not only deepening smile lines..  So, the short answer to your question is that treating the cheeks with an appropriately robust HA filler will not only restore a more a more oval, heart-shaped face but improve the under eye region--all nonsurgically, all in a matter of about fifteen minutes, and with results that characteristically elicit an immediate "Wow!" reaction and engender little to no significant downtime.
