I am getting butt implants but i am worried they won’t fix the problem. I already tried fat transfer. It melted away.1/25/2018 Update: Added photos

Yes, Sculptra can improve the buttocks. The buttocks need numerous vials of Sculptra over time to build volume, and in some instances the results are subtle and can be combined with fat or implants to achieve desired results. I recommend seeing a body shaping expert for a formal evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer.

As Sculptra is a polyactic acid it helps stimulate collagen production and results can last 5-7 years. The most common side effects are bruising and redness at the injection site and resolve in a few days. Yes, Sculptra can be used for buttock deformities that are small to moderate. The procedure can be very long lasting and our patients have been extremely satisfied with results. The amount needed will depend on the degree of the defect, and your provider may or may not choose to use other treatment options with it. We have on occasion used Velashape 3 and Sculptra in combination to correct asymmetries and defects.

Sculptra injections can be a very effective means of correcting buttock deformities or achieving more large scale buttock augmentation.  Sculptra achieves gradual correction by stimulating the body's own natural collagen production.  Over time and a series of injections this can create volume that corrects depressions and creates projection and lift.  More of a process than a single injection, Sculptra will require a number of injection sessions typically spaced 6-8 weeks apart.  The number of vials needed will be determined the degree of correction desired.
