Your PS didn't cause them- so no its not an error or malpractice- its your skin's reaction to the stretch of the implants- it is rare but once in a while a patient will develop stretch marks and I recommend StriVectin cream to help fade them.

I'm sorry that you had stretch marks develop. It is not the fault of the surgeon nor malpractice. Stretch marks occur when the skin does not have enough elasticity to adjust to changes. This occurs commonly with weight gain and pregnancy. Some people are more prone to them than others. The good news is that they tend to fade and become less noticeable over time.

Your stretch marks are neither from your surgeon's mistake or malpractice, but are from your skin's response to being stretched quickly from implants. You will probably have more with pregnancy. I would continue to use scar products and consider micro-needling with radiofrequency to help minimize these marks.

The stretch marks after a breast augmentation are an unwanted result, when an implant is placed under the skin, the skin is forced to stretch to accommodate for the size of the breast implant. This natural stretching can sometimes cause patients to experience stretch marks. It is most common in people with genetic predisposition, tuberous breasts, large implants. They can take a few years to completely fade.
