I am a 5'7" female. I weight 155lbs. I wouldn't consider myself overweight and my skin isn't exactly saggy. However I do have flabby skin all over and around my waist sides and back. Including my bra area on my back. I would like to reduce and definitely tighten all these areas so that I don't have rolls on my tummy when i sit or rolls on my side and back even when i stand.

Answer: Tummy Tuck - Cost? Thank you for your question. It is worth having multiple consultations to evaluate cost variation among surgeons in your area. The cost for a mini tummy tuck commonly ranges from $5,000 - $8,000. However, it sounds like you are a candidate for a full tummy tuck, not a mini. Choose a board certified plastic surgeon based upon experience and the results he or she can deliver, not just on cost alone. Hope this helps and good luck with your procedure.

Answer: What is the average cost of a mini tummy tuck in Arkansas? Thank you for the question. Your description does not sound like that of a patient who may benefit from mini tummy tuck surgery. In my opinion, the mini tummy tuck is an operation that produces very limited results and is very rarely indicated. It involves a shorter incision but does not address the majority of the abdominal wall issues present for most patients who present consultation. For example, the area of skin excised is quite small. The abdominal wall musculature is addressed below the umbilicus leaving the upper number wall potentially lax. The appearance of the umbilicus is not necessarily addressed sufficiently. For the vast majority of patients who have had pregnancies and/or weight loss a full abdominoplasty is necessary to achieve the desired results. When the time is right, seek consultation with board-certified plastic surgeons who can demonstrate significant experience helping patients achieve the types of outcomes you would be pleased with. When it comes to cost of surgery, there may be many “variables” involved. The specific surgeon's credentials/experience level (or lack thereof), the specific geographic area you are looking at, the different operations available, the location of the procedure ( quality of surgery facility), type/quality of anesthesia provider, type of breast implants… are some of the potential variables involved. In regards to outcome of the planned procedure, more important than costs of the procedures will be careful selection of your plastic surgeon. I would suggest starting with the American Society of Plastic Surgery and/or the Aesthetic Society of Plastic Surgery to obtain a list of well experienced board-certified plastic surgeons. Then, I would suggest you visit a few surgeons whose practices concentrate on aesthetic surgery. Ask to see lots of examples of their work and preferably speak/see patients who have had similar procedures done. Be very careful with your decision-making. You will find, while doing your due diligence, that there are many different “specialties” who will offer their services to you; again, I strongly recommend you concentrate on surgeons certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.I would also suggest that you do not base your selection of plastic surgeon primarily on costs of surgery; keep in mind that revisionary surgery may be more costly in many ways. You may find the attached link, dedicated to tummy tuck surgery concerns, helpful to you as you learn more. Best wishes.

Answer: Price of a tummy tuck Thank you for your question. Consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in your area is the first step. Often, surgeons offer these at no cost. A mini tummy tuck is indicated in a person who has a minimal amount of loose, inelastic tissue primarily below the belly button. I find this in a very small percentage of people seeking abdominal body contouring. Typically a full abdominoplasty is necessary which addresses loose skin and stretchmarks located below the belly button, and addresses laxity of the abdominal muscles that often results after pregnancy and or weightloss.Only an in person consultation can determine the extent of the procedure needed. The cost of a full tummy tuck typically runs between $5500 and $8000 which includes anesthesia, facility fee and surgeons fee.Best wishes,Dr. Michael Morrissey
