Having sickle cell disease is a major concern considering cosmetic surgery. The sheer nature of the procedures may precipitate a sickle cell crisis. This crisis is quite painful and can severely compromise your recovery and put you into harms way.
Patients with Sickle Cell Anemia are at substantial risk of serious complications after surgery. This is true even if pre-operative transfusions are given. And it would be particularly the case with a tummy tuck. In general, surgical procedures are not recommended for patients with Sickle Cell Anemia unless the procedure is absolutely necessary. Neither Tummy Tuck nor Brazilian Butt Lift is in that category. I wuld strongly advise against any cosmetic surgery in your situation.
