Hi Dakota, One thing to keep in mind is that the larger the implant, the more likely you would need revisional surgery. An average size implant, based on thousands of patients, is about 350 cc. For very large implants, some surgeons will start with a tissue expansion process. Once the tissue is expanded enough, the large implant is placed. Becker Implant – was popular at one time [the Becker style 25 was available] and overexpansion was possible to 1200cc. When the FDA lifted the moratorium they still considered the Becker investigational. That being said the only way to get access to the Becker implant is through the FDA through a compassionate care approval. Probably more trouble than its worth.Mentor has a Moderate Plus saline – the 800cc moderate plus saline that they currently offer can be over expanded to 960cc. Trials for larger gel implants in the range of 900 -1400 are about to begin, but there is no guarantee you could get in the study. Some companies will custom make the size of reconstructive implants, which is pricey. The answers below are worth noting, too. All the best, “Dr. Joe”
