I got a rhinoplasty 5 months ago to slightly reduce the hump on my nose. The result unfortunately was a mess. The profile looks scooped out, but what really worries me is the frontal view which looks flat and wide (especially the bridge). Can a revision rhinoplasty fix this? Is it possible to get a profile that is similar to the one of the simulation and a frontal view that kind of resembles my old nose (thinner and with defined dorsal lines) ?
Answer: Revision rhinoplasty for flat. wide nose Although it appears that you are likely still swollen from your original surgery, your “wish” photo has a much more prominent bridge. Currently, your bridge looks especially low because the ratio between the tip (which is still swollen) and the bridge (which is a bit low) is not at all harmonious. The swelling should continue to decrease in the tip, which will help your nose to look more aesthetically congruous. Yet I would suspect, based on your “wish” photo, that you might want to have your bridge built up, and your tip more defined and masculine. Does your surgeon also specialize in revision rhinoplasty? If your original surgeon is not willing to operate again, or if he or she does not understand what you are looking to achieve, you might want to consider consulting with a board certified plastic surgeon who has decades of experience in revision rhinoplasty surgery.

Answer: When to consider revision rhinoplasty: What you need to know Hello, and thank you for your question. It isn't until a full year after the procedure, around 12-14 months (longer for other patients), that your rhinoplasty results are truly definitive. Therefore, your nose may still have some swelling, and it will still change. Patience is key for now. But if after a full year you are still unhappy with your results, you may consider revision rhinoplasty. Keep in mind revision rhinoplasty is an even more complex procedure than primary rhinoplasty. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with a reputable board-certified facial plastic surgeon, particularly one with a strong rhinoplasty portfolio. Such experts will have a deep understanding of the aesthetic and functional elements of the nose while having an eye for symmetry and balance. Your surgeon will evaluate your nose, recommend the best approach to address your concerns and goals, and help ensure the best possible results.

Answer: Revision Rhinoplasty It is possible that a revision rhinoplasty can help with making the profile appear less scooped and not as flat on frontal view. This is typically done by using graft material to build on what was lost. It is best to discuss these options with a rhinoplasty surgeon to see the probability of achieving what you want.

Answer: Revision rhinoplasty... Based on your photos, your nasal bridge needs to be built up some to recreate the dorsal lines. That could be done with revision rhinoplasty. Be sure to see a rhinoplasty specialist for consultation.
