3 years+ and my nose is still swollen, asymmetric and the tip is not defined. How could this possibly be?

Hello everyone, i'm a 24 yrs old guy who had a rhinoplasty on december 2019. 3 years plus after the procedure, i can't say i'm currently happy with the results. I can say it has become better over time and it slowly keeps settling but this scenario is really affecting me. I've been checked by my doctor 18 months after procedure and he told me not to worry, with a nose similar to the prior one. I can tell you much work was done. Please tell me if i have to worry.

Hello.

It is possible and frequent to still have residual swelling 3 years after, even if most swelling resolves by 12 months.

However, the overall shape of the nose won’t change drastically after the first year . You may need a revision but without pictures, it is impossible to tell. And of course, an “in person” exam is necessary.

Consult with a board certified surgeon expert in revision rhinoplasty.
