There is no problem with doing a rhinoplasty that way. We can adjust just about any part of the nose with local anesthesia as long as you are good with that plan. I do this exact method regularly and only sometimes add a pill for extra relaxation. Watch our videos to learn more.

There are many surgeons who perform rhinoplasty under local anesthesia. I prefer general anesthesia but surgeons have been doing it under local for years. It just would not be my number one criteria in choosing a surgeon.

Hello! Thank you for your question. As far as I can see from your photos you have a bulbous tip and droopy tip so this changes cannot be don under the locak anesthesia. I recommend you open rhinoplasty with general anesthesia. Other way your wishes about your nose cannot be done. Best Regards!

It's a bad idea did try to undergo a full rhinoplasty under local anesthesia. Patient simply will not be able to tolerate this because it will be too painful. We tried it to 35 years ago and patients could not tolerate it . There are lots and lots of nerve endings and blood vessels in the nose, you will not be able to tolerate the injections just to get your nose numb. You also not be able to tolerate the 4 osteotomies placed in the nasal bones and resetting(breaking) the new nasal bones into a more narrow position. In addition it's also important to have protective airway to prevent blood from going down the Lungs during the procedure. In our practice, we have a board certified physician anesthesiologists perform general anesthesia for patient safety and comfort.
