Will a (mini) tummy tuck mess up or severely alter my chest/belly hair pattern? Any help is greatly appreciated! (Photo)

This is an interesting question. During a mini tummy talk, an incision is made in the supra-pubic region (above the pubic region). Excess lower abdominal skin and fat are directly resected. Typically, during a mini tummy tuck, the rectus abdominis muscle is not repaired, and the belly button is not altered, but is just pulled downward. In your pictures, you really did not include the area of concern, namely, from the belly button to the top of the pubic region. However, in general, the chest and belly hair are not altered during a mini tummy tuck. Good luck. If you have excess skin or fat that has localized in between your pubic area and belly button, a mini-tummy tuck is the perfect way to remove it. The procedure utilizes a short incision at or just above your pubic region.  Your belly and chest hair pattern should not be affected.Consult via Skype or in-person with a board certified PS who is an expert in BodyTite and lipo.  This may be a less invasive option for you.

I’m having a hard time seeing where the loose skin is.if you simply have a mini tummy tuck it would not distort the hair pattern much if at all.  It doesn’t seem like a full tummy tuck would be needed.

Based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a TT. Tummy tuck shouldn't have a significant affect on your body hair pattern. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

In general a tummy tuck will not alter your hair pattern. The skin removed will include hair but the remaining skin will also have hair and it will look normal.Best

A mini tummy tuck would remove the skin of the lower 1/2 half of the skin below your belly button. The rest of your skin would be nice and tight and probably look much more like your pre weight gain photo. This should have no effect on the hair pattern of your chest or the rest of your abdomen. During a mini tummy tuck a portion of the fat and skin below the level of the navel is excised. The tissue is then pulled lower to create the new contour. Your body hair pattern will remain as it is. See a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more.

Hello, thanks for your question and photos. Tummy Tuck, full or partial, removes the saggy skin in your abdomen. That will no affect the hair in your chest or belly. If your option is Mini TT, that will not move the position of your belly button, and there is no reason for any change in your hair pattern. The only hair that will be removed is the hair on the skin excised. The rest will be about the same as it is now. a mini tuck should work well for you. I would suggest meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon and discussing your concerns and options.
