I have had saline implants under the muscle for 6 years now. I am wanting to seek an explant but worried about my shape afterwards. Will a mastopexy/areola reduction help the natural shape of my breast? I understand the fullness will not be the same without implants and I am not concerned about size, I am just hoping to achieve a better shape than my original breasts with out the implants?
Answer: Removal The implants have expanded your breast base which will remain even with the removal of the implants. So, yes, your shape will be better after the lift.

Answer: Implant removal on tuberous breast? Will a mastopexy help my natural breast shape? Hello, thank you for your question. It is very difficult to predict breast size following explant b/c breast implants, and weight fluctuations over time tend to thin tissues, cause a decrease in size, and create more droop. You may need a lift and breast fat transfer may be an option. Consult with a board certified plastic surgeon via email or Skype.

Answer: Implant removal on tuberous breast? Will a mastopexy help my natural breast shape? Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. Most likely an implant removal will revert your breast appearance nearly to your original appearance. A mastopexy can help with areolar herniation and some shape but not correct the original tuberous appearance. Hope this helps.

Answer: Bellesoma Lift The technique I recommend is explantation and lift using The Bellesoma Method. The implants are removed, your breast tissue is reshaped creating upper pole fullness, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained, if not injured during your previous surgery. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Tuberous breasts Dear Helpful142621, tuberous breasts can rarely be corrected without implants or at least a small one. The breast needs to be scored radially from the inside to expand it. If you don't place an implant behind the radial scoring it will fall back to its original state. You could theoretically remove the implant at a later day and graft with fat but that would be a separate surgery. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.
