6 days post IPL treatment and this is what my chest looks like. Went back in to surgeon's office today, only to be seen by the original tech that performed the procedure. She did not seem concerned. Instructed me to use antibiotic ointment and come back in 3 weeks for check-up. These areas were oozing last night. I am keeping them clean and loaded with ointment. Is this actually considered a "burn"? And should I be doing anything else for the area? At this point I am concerned :-|

Thank you for your question. IPL is not the appropriate device to remove your tattoo and it definitely has the potential to burn and scar you. There are excellent tattoo lasers available these days and one like the Picosure or Picoway would be ideal for your situation. Best of luck!
