Still tired after having rhinoplasty - 2 weeks post-op.

Recovery from any surgery can cause a decrease in your stamina initially. It will take several weeks to get it back.

  Thanks for submitting your question.... it's a good one. I do many types of surgery from facial trauma repair and sinus surgery to facelifts and rhinoplasty... despite their differences there are a couple universal truths about surgery that might apply here. First is that your body is trying to heal a wound... this takes energy so your body (unbeknownst to you) will seek to conserve energy while "working" on healing your nose. This will be experienced by you as general fatigue and can last 3-5 weeks or more depending on the extent of the surgery. The second is that there are varying degrees of anxiety during the healing process ranging from none (I'm excited for my new nose) to "buyers remorse" (did I make a mistake, do I look like I was in a fight etc)... the best thing for you to remember is that healing takes time... you are only 2 weeks into this... relax, rest and give it time.
