Can microneedling for hair loss cause permanent damage if its left on the skin in one place too long?

Most microneedling that I've seen causes the skin to become pink. But a few times the skin looked dark red.

Hello and thank you for your question. I would follow your doctors recommendation and retreat at 4 weeks. When treating scars an aggressive approach can be taken by doing a series of 3-6 treatments, spaced 3-4 weeks apart. Follow your doctors post care and enjoy your results! Best...

Thanks for your question and posting a picture.  I'm sorry this happened to you.  While we offer microneedling, we rarely recommend it.  Like you have experienced, microneedling results CAN be unpredictable.  All of our other treatment options have very predictable results.
