Hi there. From your photos, the hooding you’re seeing is likely coming from two places: some extra upper eyelid skin and a mild drop in the brow position. Because of that, it’s really important to be evaluated for both a brow lift and an upper eyelid lift (blepharoplasty), rather than assuming it’s just one or the other. An upper blepharoplasty removes the excess skin from the eyelids and is the most reliable way to open up the eyes. However, if the brow has also descended, even slightly, addressing that with a subtle brow lift can make a big difference in the overall result and help avoid a heavy look. In many patients, a combination of the two (even if the brow lift is very conservative) gives the most natural, refreshed appearance. If you’re not ready for surgery, a small amount of Botox can sometimes give a gentle lift to the outer brow, but it won’t remove the extra skin. Non-surgical tightening treatments can help a little, but results are modest compared to surgery. The key next step is a proper in-person assessment to determine how much each factor, brow vs. eyelid, is contributing, so you get the right treatment plan and the most balanced, natural outcome. Hope this helps!
