Would veneers be a good fit for me if I am looking to reduce the size of my teeth? (photos)

Question

I am interested in getting veneers for my front, top teeth. I am currently in the process of having grafts done to correct for some gum recession, and then I will be able to have a secondary consult with an orthodontist. My initial concern was to correct for an overbite, but now I am wondering what my options are for reducing the size of my teeth with veneers.

I think that you would be a great candidate for porcelain veneers.  I would shorten the length of your central incisors and slightly lengthen the teeth next to them to place  all of the teeth in the correct proportion.  This could be performed in two visits and your new smile would look great.  Good luck.

Looking at your photos and reading your question, I can tell you that you would be an excellent candidate for porcelain veneers on your front teeth.  Veneers can most certainly be used to change the size of your teeth.  I would highly recommend making sure that the gum graft is successful before getting the veneers because if the gum graft fails afterwards, you may need to have your veneers redone to compensate for the gum loss around those teeth. Looking at the photos, your central
incisors are disproportionately larger than the lateral incisors. The advantage
of veneers allows you to create a proportional smile line because the larger
teeth can be reduced and the smaller teeth can be increased to create a more
congruent and even smile. Even after orthodontics, the teeth will still remain
disproportionate but veneers can correct this. If you’re reducing the size of
the teeth, these require reduction; preparing reduction of the enamel and the
tooth structure, which is one of the things that needs to be considered and to
what extent. The smaller teeth can be increased with the veneers.

if you do not want to set braces, and get a prompt solution to the way the front teeth look, you can perform 2 or 4 porcelain veneers. That would make your mile look more even, the way you want your teeth to look,and can be done in just a couple of days. I hope this helps.
