My front veneer keeps falling out after less than 3 years of having it. What treatment would you recommend?

Based on your description, it sounds like the glue/cement that is being used may be the problem.  There are different glues/cements for various types of veneers and crowns (i.e., cements for porcelain, zirconium, and metal can vary).  Another possible cause may be your "bite."  In other words, you could be a person that grinds your teeth in your sleep, or simply has a bite that taps on the veneer every time your teeth touch.  I would suggest getting a second opinion, if you and your dentist do not have better luck with the next reattachment.  Good luck and I hope this helps. There are several reasons why your veneer keeps coming off.  It could be the (small) amount of tooth that the veneer can be bonded onto.  It could be the dentist's technique or materials.  It could be oral habits you may have, like grinding your teeth or the kind of things you bite into.  Since you seem prone to loosening them full crowns may be a much more stable option for you instead of porcelain veneers.  They would also be easier to recement back on in the even that they loosened up when you were out of the country.

Hi There,There are a few reasons of why your veneer may keep falling off:1) There is not enough too structure remaining to support it.  In this case you may need a full crown or a root canal and post and crown, or you may need to remove the tooth and do a bridge or implant.  2) Your bite is too heavy or there is a lateral interference when you grind side to side, forward and back.  The bite needs to be adjusted correctly.  You may also require a nightguard appliance if you grind or clench heavily when you sleep.3)  The veneer is not being bonded properly or designed properly.  Hope this helps!Dr. Gordon Chee
