I just had Sculpsure done on my abdomen and want to know whether the infrared light sauna sessions (40 min each session; Full spectrum sauna) I do three times weekly will interfere with the fat removal process or assist in shedding the fat cells. I also want to know when I can resume them if the answer is that they would interfere. Thank you!

Answer: Go for it Thank you for your question. I think IR saunas would be a great adjunct to SculpSure! They may not help you get a better result, but they certainly will not negatively impact the results you get with SculpSure. Because many of the fat cells in the treated areas will be dying, they will be broken down by your body and eventually eliminated. The IR sauna should assist your body in moving lymphatic fluid and improving superficial blood flow, therefore, I would surmise that this will actually help your body to eliminate those dead fat cells a little bit faster. Bear in mind that this is really just an educated guess on my part. There are no studies to my knowledge that specifically examine this situation, but it makes sense to me from a scientific viewpoint. So, I say, go for it!

Answer: Can infrared light sauna sessions be used after SculpSure? I would not see any harm in having infrared light sauna sessions anytime after a SculpSure treatment. I do not think the infrared light would help or hinder the results from the SculpSure procedure though. Just be aware that good hydration is recommend after SculpSure, so if you are going to be in the sauna, make sure you stay well hydrated.
