Can you have Cellulaze done over an existing tattoo?

Cellulaze laser fibers are used underneath the skin to sever banding of cellulite, melt superficial fat, and tighten skin.  The depth of this fiber is below the skin in the superficial fat.  Tattoos are place into the skin and dermis much higher than the laser device.  Performing this should be of no concern if done correctly.

I've done cellulaze under (not over, it is an internal laser) a tattoo without any issues.  The treatment is deeper than where the pigment would be deposited in a tattoo typically.

In my opinion, there is no danger of interaction between a tattoo and a Cellulaze treatment. The Cellulaze treatment laser uses a side firing technique that can be pointed towards the dermis or the epidermis. In the area of a tattoo, the direction of the laser would be pointed away from the tattoo. The heat or light generated from the laser would therefore not affect the tattoo. I hope this helps. There is no contraindication to have a tattoo in the area that you are getting Cellulaze. The laser is from inside and there is a thermoguide at the tip of the laser. It would let us know if there is any increase temp and we usually switch place as soon as the thermoguide stop the laser firing.
