How soon after a mole is shaved from face, can I start using prescription products?

How soon after a mole is shaved from face, can I start using prescription products all over my face (such as hydroquinone)? I got three moles shaved and already one mole developed a dark spot. Can I immediately start using hydroquinone to lighten the dark spot? If not, how many days should I wait before apply hydroquinone to my face?

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, I cannot give you a specific amount of days to wait until you can start using topical medications to your face. I recommend allowing the areas to heal until there is no more scabbing or crusts, then reintroduce topical medications to those three areas every other day. Be cautious when using hydroquinone because if the medication irritates or induces any redness, then it can have a reverse affects and cause hyperpigmentation. I highly recommend you consult with a board certified dermatologist or the provider who performed the biopsies regarding your questions and concerns. Take care and good luck.
