How long after a mole removal by shave to flatten?

I got a mole shaved from the side of my nose a month ago and it appears puffed up. How long before the scar flattens and do the silicone patches work well?

Swelling and bruising are normal aftermole removal. However, if you are concerned, you should see thephysician who removed the mole to be sure you are healing normally.Best, Dr. Emer.

If you are concerned about a mole, I suggest you have a cosmetic physician evaluate the area to be treated. This can be removed in the office.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Icing on and off will not hurt you or the area.  Be sure to follow your doctor's advice for care of the shaved area and take an over the counter pain reliever such as Tylenol or it's generic if recommended by your doctor.
