Will a septoplasy leave a noticeable scar, or leave a scar at all if my septum deviation is higher within the nose?

I'm an actress and constantly on camera. My nose breathing has gotten worse over the years and i cant breathe when working out. Ever since I've turned 18, I've tried to sleep with a closed mouth and tried many sleeping tools. terrible mistake. i ended up awaking and gasping for air. i wake up with a dry mouth and my teeth are beginning to yellow and decay. I've had it! its messing up my daily life, but i will not crush my dreams for it either. let me know if there are other things to aid it.

The incision for a septoplasty is located on the inside of the nose, and is approximately 1/2 inch long. A septoplasty will not change the shape of the nose, and is only  performed for airflow improvement. If you're wanting to perform a cosmetic rhinoplasty, that can also be performed at the same time as the septoplasty, but must be paid for by the patient themselves.

Thanks for your question. In a case like this where your septum is deviated well up inside your nose, you shouldn't have any visible changes on the outside. Hello ssayko,A simple septoplasty does not involve any external incisions and therefore would not leave any visible scars.  If the top of your nose appears deviated (the dorsum), then correction of this may require a small incision below the nose versus everything performed inside of the nose depending on the appearance and surgeon preference.  I hope this helps and good luck.
