4 weeks post BBL, will the size go down a lot more?

Question

I just got my Brazilian butt lift 4 weeks ago, most of the swelling is actually gone. My butt has gone down majorly and it's to a size that i really like. I know 4 weeks is very early but will my fat reduce a lot more now? I've been told the real results are at 2-3 months and it continues to go down until then. Is there anything that I can do to avoid major decrease? Try to gain weight or something? Am I going to loose a lot more fat for the next 2 months?

I have noticed that my patients tend to stabilize at about 4 weeks in regard to buttock and hip size.

Hi and thanks for the question and photos. The amount of fat that your body retains is best judged at 3 months after surgery. This does not mean that your butt will continue to go down until that time, it just means that what is left at that point is there to stay. The initial swelling tends to take around 6 weeks to really decrease. Continue to follow your post op instructions and you will see your final result soon. Best of Luck - Dr. Hardy...

4 weeks is a bit premature to see the final results from a BBL. You likely still have a fair amount of swelling.

Thank you for your question and photographs.Generally, most of the swelling will resolve by 6-8 weeks and you should start to see your final results by then. During the recovery period leading up to that your buttocks will continue to change slightly as the swelling resolves but by 8 weeks you should be able to get an idea of what your final outcome will look like.
