Latisse causing atrophy of fat under the eyes?

I know that this is a side effect. I just learned it as a matter of fact. I've heard that stopping this lash treatment will most likely reverse this side effect but what if I didn't stop and only cut back on applications? Maybe just a couple of times a week rather than everyday. Would it matter?

Hello, the association of prostaglandin analogue eye formulations and resultant fat atrophy in the eyelid skin and soft tissues has been well documented. It is referred to as “prostaglandin associated periorbitopathy.” Decreasing your use of latisse will likely slow the progression but may not completely halt it. I would consider using other eyelash growth serums available over the counter.

This has never been carefully studied but the side effect profile of many drugs is related to dose and duration of exposure. Using less of a drug often gives a reduced chance of side effects but does not eliminate them completely. For some drugs, it simply delays the time point in the future that one will have these side effects.
