Will Latisse grow hair on empty spots of eyelashes? (Photo)

Using LATISSE can be great for improving the thickness and fullness of the lashes that you already have. However, it's not intended to help lashes grow where none currently exist, or help absent lashes grow back. Your photo seems to indicate broken eyelashes, so LATISSE may help strengthen and thicken those lashes to prevent further breakage. It's important to get an accurate diagnosis before proceeding.

Thank you for sharing your question and photograph.  If your missing spot of eyelashes still has the relevant hair follicles present Latisse should help with their regrowth.  If the hair follicles have been damaged then Latisse will likely not work.  Hope this helps.

Thank you for your question.It may help to stimulate growth, it definitely will not hurt anything to try. If the hair follicles are still active it can help speed up regrowth. If the hair follicles are not active the Latisse will not change anything.

Hi Anna323, There are times when lashes or hair will not grow because the hair follicle is in the dormant stage. Lashes also won't grow if there is infection or a stye. That said, Latisse can stimulate hair growth is the follicles are still viable.All the best, Justin Harper, M.D.
