I had a BBL done back in oct. Is it too soon to have a revision? (photo)

There are many factors in a BBL that can be corrected. When we look at the harvest donor site, we often see large scars that are dark or raised. These can be improved with our pigmentation protocols. In terms of the BBL itself, we have found it useful to either add more fat, remove and sculpt fat, recontour the buttocks, or remove fat necrosis lumps. In some cases, the indentations seen require a combination of Venus Legacy, Exilis, or Brazilian Cellulite Treatments to remove the indentation.

You will usually need at least 3 months before getting a revision.  The revision implies that there is less fat than the first time, and scar tissue will make the surgery much more difficult on the surgeon.  The percentage of fat survival in the BBL the second time should be about the same. Dents usually respond favorably to fat transfer.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA

Revision after a BrazilianMy general recommendation for any type of revision would be about three months. I feel that you have likely stabilized and should consider going ahead with a revision given what you are seeing in your photos.The hardest area is likely going to be the lower abdomen where it looks like a significant amount of fat was removed and then a regular pattern. This would likely require equalization of the fat around this area and possibly transfer to the abdomen as well. Best wishes.  Dr. Spann
