Hello from Istanbul! Based on your description and pictures, it looks like the tip projection may also be bothering you in addition to the nasal hump, creating a disproportional look. A tip plasty combined with hump reduction could provide more balance. So, you are definitely a candidate for rhinoplasty. A straighter side profile would suit you much better and appear more natural than a curvy nose. Wishing you the best in your decision!

Besides the bump, to my eye, looking at your tip, your nose is strong in its forward projection away from your face, so after removing the bump, I'd like to see the tip and bridge and entire nose brought back closer to your face. Then, when you lower a bump on the bridge, and also when you "de-project" the nose, it tends to make the nose *look* longer, as if the tip had dropped. So it's important to elevate the tip some at the same time, so you don't wonder why your nose is so long after surgery.


How *much* to elevate the tip, or deproject the nose, or lower the bump, or make other changes? We figure that out with morphs, well before surgery. I'd love for you to see some excellent professionally-designed morphs of what could possibly be done with your nose. Morphs could also help you identify better just what's bothering you, and help you set a goal for the rhinoplasty that's accurate for your tastes. Profile and three-quarter views would be particularly important in morphing your nose. (Side note: in my opinion, morphs should really be done by the surgeon, or he should direct an assistant as she makes the morphs. Morphs should be made with a constant eye to what actually *can* be done in surgery, for that particular nose, and the surgeon has that information and judgment best.)

Finally, remember that rhinoplasty is an exquisitely difficult operation to get right, and you should only have surgery if you are able to make yourself very confident in your surgeon's skills. The changes that your nose needs require advanced techniques, and skill that most plastic surgeons don't possess with expertise. You have a small dorsal hump. This could be filed down possible done with a closed rhinoplasty. It would take 1 hour to perform under general anesthesia.

Based on your photos, you appear to have an over projected nasal appearance. That means that your nose protrudes a bit too far from your face. This is associated with droopiness of your tip with smiling and a small profile bump. I think you are an excellent candidate for a reduction rhinoplasty. I suggest starting the process by having multiple in person, consultations with senior board-certified plastic surgeons, who specialize or have strong emphasis in rhinoplasty surgery.
You can either ask providers to show you before, and after pictures a previous patient who had similar facial characteristics or ask them to use morphing programs if they have them.
Rhinoplasty surgery is not a single procedure, but rather a combination of many different procedures typically put together under determine rhinoplasty. It’s important to decipher each separate component in both assessments and discussing the actual procedure. Dorsal reduction is only one part of many procedures involved with rhinoplasty surgery.
Provider selection is paramount.
Rhinoplasty surgery is considered fairly complex and it’s definitely a procedure worth being highly selective regarding providers.
Ask providers to open up your portfolio and show you their entire collection of before and after pictures of the previous patient who has similar facial characteristics to your own. An experienced plastic surgeon and should have no difficulty showing you the before and after pictures of at least 50 previous patients.
Being shown a handful of pre-selected images, representing the best results of the providers career is insufficient to get a clear understanding of what average results look like in the hands of each provider or how many of these procedures they’ve actually done.
Look for either board-certified, plastic surgeons or facial plastic surgeons, who have focused their practice strongly on rhinoplasty surgery with a solid background and reputation.
I generally encourage people to have as many consultations as possible before selecting a provider. The time to be critical of plastic surgeons before you schedule the procedure during the vetting process when you’re trying to find the best provider for your needs.
Do not assume that being board-certified and plastic surgery with years of experience, and overall good reputation Means somebody has mastered any one single procedure.
This is definitely an operation worth seeking out a true expert for.
