Can a septoplasty alone help with fluctuating nostril size or should I consider a rhinoplasty as well?

During each say I notice my nostrils can look wide and flat or taller and oval shaped throughout the day. I haven't had surgery (yet) but I do have a deviated septum that affects breathing. Would a septoplasty fix the fluctuating look of my nostrils or should I consider a rhinoplasty as well? I'm currently using a nasal spray and have noticed my nostrils look taller after I take it

A septoplasty usually does not change the nostril size but a rhinoplasty can.  Usually they are made smaller which may not be something you want to do if it effects your breathing adversely.

Seeing changes in your nostrils is not an indication for surgical intervention.
If you’re interested in getting a proper assessment for rhinoplasty surgery, then I suggest scheduling a few in person consultations with plastic surgeons in your community.
