Can I get rhinoplasty/septoplasty done if I have possible tooth root problem? Would it be ok to do dental work after the surgery

I was told by dentist I will need a root end surgery on my tooth on the top, also tooth right next to it has a large cavity under crown, with all that in mind I have rhinoplasty surgery coming up, worried if can be performed before I get in to the dentist.

I would 1000000% let your surgeon know about this, as the tooth area is DEFINITELY a risk for infection around the nose, or even worse (bacteremia blood infection). The safest route would be to take care of the teeth first and then do the nose.

This is a question for your plastic surgeon to answer. I don’t know what risks you run if the tooth is not taken care of. Possibly infection of the tooth

It is not likely that osteotomies related to rhinoplasty would complicate your tooth root issue unless you have bone abscess. Your should discuss this issue in details with your dentist and nose surgeon. Good luck.

You can have a rhinoplasty now, but, if you have a serious infection it is better to treat that first. Having any kind of surgery with a known abscess, serious cavity, or infection is taking unnecessary chances.
